May 12th, 2009

Naveen Jain’s formula for success consists of a dedication to entrepreneurship that surpasses most of his colleagues’. As a co-founder and CEO of Intelius, a renowned Internet information company, Naveen Jain is a proud workaholic whose commitment to excellence in his craft allows little time for rest and relaxation. His is a tireless workaholic second to none. And this stance on his career enables him to continue to seek greater heights of excellence.

Intelius is an information company centered on security and consumer protection. It enables businesses and consumers to access public information for protection, to assist them in making day-to-day informed decisions, and to reconnect. Through its breakthrough technology, consumers can search and monitor billions of public records in real time and at a reasonable cost: employers can verify a job candidate’s background, parents can screen adults in their children’s lives, and homeowners can check the credibility of a contractor to avoid fraud.

These innovative ideas come from a man who works 18 hours a day, seven days a week and who has in fact, little time to pursue other interests, like golf or a vacation. His thirst for progress is unquenchable. His passionate energy and impressive background in engineering, technology and business experience makes him deliver and gain recognition as one of the top entrepreneurial executives of the nation.

Before coming to the US, Naveen Jain obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Roorkee and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Xavier’s School of Management. He joined Microsoft in 1989 and became instrumental in establishing MSN. In 1996, he formed Infospace; he then co-founded Intellius in January 2003.

As a result of his passionate and tireless leadership, Intelius received recognition as an Inc. 500 company and became one of Washington’s top three Best Workplaces by the Puget Sound Business Journal in 2007. In 2006, Intelius received another recognition, this time as the American Business Awards’ Best New Company. It also received the prestigious Stevie Award.
