Dancing to Live Music
When I found out I had to go to Grand Cayman Island during my summer vacation along with my parents, the first thought that came to my mind was, “There goes another one of my glorious vacations down the drain!” I don’t understand why they have to drag me along with them to every destination they want to visit! I’m not a little child! I’m sixteen and old enough to look after myself! But, this time my trip was great, I got to do what I love most, dancing to live music!
We were staying at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort on Grand Cayman Island and the view of the ocean from the windows was simply breathtaking. But of all things what I liked the most was dancing to live music at Grand Cayman Marriott Resort’s neighbor, a pub and disco situated within a little shack-like structure near the beach. Whenever dad and mom went out for their “romantic candlelit dinners near the sea,” I would sneak out of the resort complex and head for the disco where I used to enjoy dancing to live music.
It was here I met Hugh, he too was forced to come with his parents to the island and, like me, he loved dancing to live music. Apart from sharing the joy of dancing to live music, it was he who introduced me to the world of scuba diving and jet skiing. Hugh was a huge fan of water sports and had tried all sorts of water sports. We became great friends. We kept in touch even after we went back to the U.S. and last year when we met after six years, he popped the question when we were dancing to live music in one of the discos in New Jersey. Of course, I said yes!
