EU Commissioner for Information Society and Media, Vivian Reding, commented on the report, saying that the need of the day is for all governments in Europe to take a coordinated step towards promoting digital technology, resulting in increased revenues across all sectors. She also suggested that the potential of digital economy in Europe could actually lead to creation of a lot of employment as well as fostering of sustainable economic development.
